R-Type III: The Third Lightning is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up video game developed and published by Irem for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) in 2004. It is the third installment in the R-Type series and features improved graphics, new weapons, and the introduction of customizable power-up systems known as "Force Units". Players control a spacecraft called the R-90, battling through waves of alien enemies across various levels and bosses to save the galaxy from the evil Bydo Empire.
