Zombie Nation is a side-scrolling shooter video game developed by KAZe and published by Meldac for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1990. In the game, players take control of a disembodied samurai head called Namakubi, who must battle an army of zombies that have taken over America. Using powerful projectiles and special attacks, Namakubi must defeat the zombie bosses of each level to reclaim different parts of the United States. The game features unique gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to use Namakubi's head to destroy buildings and obstacles, and incorporates elements of Japanese mythology into its story and design.
