There were two Beauty and the Beast games released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES): 1. Beauty and the Beast: Roar of the Beast - This game was released in 1993 by Hudson Soft. It is a side-scrolling action game where the player controls the Beast as he fights his way through levels to rescue Belle from the clutches of Gaston. The game features platforming elements and boss battles. 2. Disney's Beauty and the Beast - This game was also released in 1993, but by Capcom. It is a puzzle-platformer where the player controls Belle as she searches the Beast's castle for items needed to break the spell that has turned him into a monster.
