Wing Commander is a series of space combat simulation video games developed by Origin Systems. The games involve piloting various spacecraft in simulated space combat, often featuring a branching storyline with multiple possible outcomes based on the player's actions. The first game in the series was released for MS-DOS in 1990, and later ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992. The SNES version features simplified graphics and gameplay compared to the original PC version, but retains the same basic premise and story.
