Nightmare on Elm Street is a platformer/horror game developed by Rare Ltd. and published by LJN for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1990. The game is based on the horror film series of the same name, with players taking on the role of one of four teenagers who must navigate through different levels while fighting off various monsters and bosses from the films. The game features cooperative play for up to four players, and also incorporates RPG elements such as collecting items and leveling up.
